What we're looking for

✅ Required

  • ★18 years of age or older
  • ★Valid government-issued ID
  • ★Reliable personal transportation
  • ★Own cleaning supplies and equipment (vacuum, mop, cleaning products)
  • ★Smartphone with camera for photo uploads
  • ★Ability to pass a background check
  • ★Strong attention to detail
  • ★Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • ★Ability to work independently

✦ Preferred (Not Required)

  • ✓1+ years of professional cleaning experience
  • ✓Experience with residential deep cleans
  • ✓Experience with move-in / move-out cleaning
  • ✓Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning products
  • ✓Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • ✓Professional references available
  • ✓Commercial or hospitality cleaning experience

🧹 Required Equipment & Supplies

All Tova Cleans contractors are required to bring their own equipment and supplies to every job. This is what you'll need:

🧹 Vacuum cleaner (upright or canister)
🪣 Mop and bucket
🧴 Multi-surface cleaning spray
🚿 Bathroom disinfectant
🪟 Glass / mirror cleaner
🧽 Microfiber cloths (multiple)
🫧 Scrub brushes and sponges
🧤 Rubber gloves
🗑️ Trash bags (various sizes)

Contractor FAQ

Questions about joining

All Tova Cleans cleaners are independent contractors. You set your own schedule, choose which jobs to accept, and work for yourself. You are responsible for your own taxes. We provide the platform, the clients, and the support.
Pay ranges from $18–$25/hour depending on your experience and the type of job. Hours are tracked in the app and payment is processed weekly. The more jobs you complete, the more you earn.
No. You browse available jobs and claim the ones that fit your schedule. You are never obligated to accept a job. That said, maintaining a strong acceptance and completion rate helps you get prioritized for better assignments.
We welcome applicants with limited formal experience who demonstrate strong attention to detail and reliability. We'll review your full application and if there's a fit, we'll discuss options. You may be started on simpler jobs as you build your track record.
Our background check covers identity verification, criminal history, and sex offender registry screening. It does not include a credit check. We use a secure, third-party screening service. If you have concerns about your background, please reach out to us directly before applying.
Yes! We have a cleaner referral program. When someone you refer is accepted and completes their first 5 jobs, you'll receive a bonus. Include your name in the referral field of the application form.
